Only becoming a fortress when the Spanish invaded, it managed to repel the army in 1536, however, the Spanish soon came back with a bigger army and the Incas fled to Vilcabamba.

It provides a spectacular bird-eye view enabling passengers to grasp the immensity of La Paz City.
