Luxury Brazil 16-Day Itinerary
Days 1 - 4 Rio de Janeiro
Arrive in Rio de Janeiro for three nights in the “Marvellous City”. You will stay at a hotel located on the famous Ipanema beach.
On your first full day enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of Carnival, visit Samba City, discover the history behind the carnival and admire costumes and parade items as they are being made. Bring out your carnival spirit by trying on some of the costumes and finish the tour with a traditional caipirinha. In the evening, enjoy a delightful dinner and entertaining show, immersing you in Brazil’s rich and diverse cultures, vibrant music, and captivating dance from across the country.
On your second day, enjoy an exciting tour of Corcovado (Christ the Redeemer) and Sugar Loaf Mountain where you will have some fantastic views over the city, and savour a Brazilian barbeque for your lunch.
Days 5 - 8 The Amazon Rainforest
Fly from Rio de Janeiro to the city of Manaus which is the entry point for the Amazon Jungle. You will spend a night at a hotel near Manaus before heading down the Amazon River to immerse yourself in the jungle at the stunning Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge.
Located deep in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest, your stay at the lodge will include a daily programme of excursions into the rainforest with their superb guides. At the end of a great day exploring you can relax at the lodge and full board meals are also included.
You will only have breakfast in Manaus but will receive full board at the lodge.
Days 9 - 10 Iguacu Falls
Today you will fly from Manaus to Foz do Iguacu where you will spend two nights discovering the almighty Iguacu Falls.
Enjoy a full-day tour of the Argentinian side of the falls.
Days 11 - 14 Itacare
Flying into Ilhéus you will then head to the tropical paradise coastline in Itacaré. Spend the next four days relaxing by the pool or at the nearby beach, or head out on stand-up paddle boards or kayaks on one of the hotel's excursions. This is an idyllic place to do as little or as much as you want, at the end of your holiday to Brazil.
Days 15 - 16 São Paulo - UK
You will transfer to Ilhéus and fly to São Paulo for your onward flight, and land back in the UK the next day.
