Uncover Copper Canyon & Sierra Tarahumara's Wilderness
The Sierra Tarahumara of northwest Mexico is a vast and remote region shaped by dramatic landscapes and deep cultural roots. Here, the Barrancas del Cobre, known as the Copper Canyon, carve through rugged terrain dotted with cacti, forests and remote communities. This journey offers an immersive exploration of one of Mexico’s most striking natural regions, combining scenery, culture and a sense of true adventure.
Travel on one of the world’s most celebrated rail journeys as you cross the Copper Canyon aboard the Chepe Express. As the train winds through tunnels, bridges and mountain passes, your private guide helps bring the region to life, sharing insight into its geology, wildlife and the traditions of the Rarámuri people. Away from the tracks, explore viewpoints, villages and landscapes that reveal the scale and diversity of the canyon system.
Your journey also captures contrasting sides of Mexico, beginning with the energy and cultural richness of Mexico City before ending on the Pacific coast in La Paz, an elegant seaside town in Baja California Sur. From highland canyons to coastal calm, this itinerary showcases three very different faces of Mexico, creating a varied and rewarding travel experience.
