Ultimate Costa Rica Adventure 15-Day Itinerary
Day 1 UK - San José
Arrive in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica for a night.
Days 2-3 Pacuare River
From San Jose, arrive at the rafting operations centre in Turrialba. Upon boarding the raft, Costa Rica’s natural splendour unfolds along emerald-green cliffs adorned with waterfalls and butterflies. Thrilling rapids and powerful waves set an exhilarating tone for the adventure. A two-night stay at a riverside lodge offers an immersive experience in this enchanting environment. The following day, a jungle adventure features a zipline tour over the Pacuare River, culminating in “The Crier” and the famous Tarzan Swing, delivering a 70-foot adrenaline drop.
Days 4-5 Arenal
After departing the lodge by raft, navigating class III and IV rapids, cascading waterfalls, and breathtaking landscapes, transfer to La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano’s action-packed hub. The next day set off on a scenic kayak paddle across Arenal Lake, surrounded by breathtaking views of the majestic Arenal Volcano. Along the way keep an eye (and ear) out for playful howler monkeys.
Days 6-7 Monteverde
Travel by road and boat to cross the Lake to Monteverde. Here, discover the hanging bridges and canopy ziplines from one of the highest mountains, offering impressive views of the cloud forest biodiversity. Hike deep into these magical tropical forests to admire nature from a new perspective.
Days 8-10 Guanacaste – Rio Perdido
Take on Rio Perdido’s Canyon Adventure – a one-of-a-kind experience, you'll ascend well above Costa Rica´s only "dwarf" forest. To accomplish this epic challenge, zip down state-of-art carbon fibre cables, swing on a human pendulum and cross the 27-meter wobbly bridge, before climbing several via ferratas to the top of the canyon. The following day, ride nature’s own water slide, tubing you way down the currents of the mysterious Rio Perdido.
Days 11-13 Nicoya Peninsula
Enjoy the final three nights in the heart of Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula, known for its laid-back surf culture, tropical forests and golden beaches. A Blue-zone with wellness at its core, this is the perfect place to unwind after fun-filled and action-packed adventure.
Days 14-15 San Jose
Take a domestic flight from Cobano to San Jose airport to connect with your onward flight to the UK.
