Highlights of Guatemala 10-day Itinerary
Days 1-2 UK - Guatemala City - Antigua
Today you will depart the UK on your international flight to Guatemala City. Spend two nights in Antigua, where a walking tour unveils the city’s rich history and highlights, including the cathedral, monasteries, and main square.
Days 3-5 Lake Atitlan
Spend the day in Chichicastenango, famed for its colourful market (Sundays and Thursdays) and Maya significance. Visit a wooden mask museum and take part in a corn tortilla workshop.
At Lake Atitlan, discover the beautiful views and colourful villages on a private boat tour and stay in the iconic Hotel Atitlan with its prime location and abundance of charm.
Days 6-7 Tikal & El Peten
Fly to Flores in Peten, to stay on the northern shores of Lake Peten Itza. Experience the mystical atmosphere of Tikal on a sunrise tour, from the top of the tallest temple. Watch in awe as the light breaks through, revealing distant temples while howler monkeys sound their morning calls.
Day 8 Antigua
Return to Antigua for your final night in this small city surrounded by volcanoes. Spend your time at leisure exploring the cobbled streets filled with history and culture.
Days 9-10 Guatemala City - UK
Today you’ll transfer to Guatemala City for your return flight to the UK, landing the following day.
