Discover Mexico's Vibrant Culture and Spectacular Nature
This 15 day Culture and Nature holiday offers a beautifully balanced journey through Mexico, bringing together the country’s most compelling cultural centres and its diverse natural landscapes. From vibrant cities and ancient civilisations to wildlife rich reserves and relaxed island shores, the itinerary is designed to reveal the depth and variety that make Mexico such a rewarding destination.
Begin in Mexico City, a vast and dynamic capital where layers of history unfold through grand architecture, lively neighbourhoods and outstanding cuisine. Continue to Oaxaca, a region celebrated for its strong artistic traditions, colourful markets and rich gastronomy. Here, meet local artisans preserving age old crafts and discover archaeological sites that reflect the area’s deep indigenous heritage. Travel onwards through the Yucatán Peninsula to explore jungle covered ruins, swim in clear freshwater cenotes and experience the rhythms of daily life in colonial towns.
Nature takes centre stage as you visit the Celestún Biosphere Reserve, a protected coastal wetland known for its rich birdlife and the graceful presence of pink flamingos. Your journey concludes on the tranquil shores of Isla Holbox, where shallow turquoise waters, quiet beaches and a slower pace provide a peaceful contrast to the cultural discoveries that came before. Afterwards, you’ll head to the impressive historic site of Teotihuacan ancient city to explore the temples, palaces and pyramids held sacred by the Aztecs.
The following day your private guide will help you uncover Coyoacán, a former colonial village in the south of the city. Explore the colourful streets, plazas and cafes of this lively bohemian area. Visit Casa Azul, Frida Kahlo's home, now a museum and treasure trove of personal artefacts, letters, dresses and more. Your tour finishes with a visit to Casa Estudio Diego Rivera, where Kahlo and her husband the famous muralist, Diego Rivera, once lived and worked.

On your last day in Oaxaca, visit San Bartolo Coyotepec, 12km south of the city, where Oaxaca’s gleaming black pottery is made. Then in Santo Tomas Jalietza, visit the artisans creating beautiful weavings and embroidery work before stopping at Ocotlan, a village renowned for its artists.
