Julia Ross

Julia joined Latin Routes over three years ago as a trainee, fresh from university and entirely new to both the travel industry and Latin America. Throwing herself in at the deep end proved to be the best decision she ever made. Since then, she has travelled to extraordinary destinations including Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, Costa Rica, Argentina, Belize, and even Antarctica. Now a key part of the Business Development team, she’s passionate about presenting Latin America to travel agents, delivering engaging training sessions, and sharing her experiences across social media.

With a background in interpreting and Latin American studies, Julia brings both linguistic flair and cultural insight to her role. Her ability to present with confidence, honed during university, allows her to engage agents and audiences alike with enthusiasm and professionalism. She's also completed training in social media marketing, which supports her work on Latin Routes’ agent-focused platforms and helps bring the continent to life online.

Though she adored the Galapagos Islands, her heart was unexpectedly stolen by Belize—a destination she hadn’t anticipated falling for. From vibrant wildlife and white-sand beaches to Mayan ruins, Garifuna festivals, and the Great Blue Hole, she describes it as the trip that pushed her outside her comfort zone and redefined the way she travels. Outside work, Julia is passionate about cooking, wine, golf, running, and history—and she speaks four languages. Her motto? "Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer… apart from a Birkin!"
