From the Argentine capital, continue to Iguazú Falls, where vast cascades surge through subtropical rainforest on the border with Brazil. Crossing into Brazil, the route continues to Rio de Janeiro, a city defined by dramatic scenery, golden beaches and an unmistakable rhythm of life.
The journey concludes in Paraty, a historic coastal town where cobbled streets, rainforest-covered hills and a relaxed atmosphere provide a fitting and memorable finale to your time in South America.

Route to Rio 14-day Itinerary
Days 1-4 UK - Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires where you will spend three nights in the home of tango, at a centrally located hotel.
On your second day, enjoy a fascinating half-day city tour and learn about the fascinating history of Argentina which has shaped what the country has become today, followed by an evening of entertainment with a Tango show and dinner.
On your last day in Buenos Aires, you will head out to the countryside to discover the food and culture of the gauchos’. Spend the day on an estancia, learning about how they work with their animals and land, and enjoy a typical asado (barbeque) followed by live music and folk dance as well as equestrian demonstrations.


Days 5-6 Iguazu Falls
Fly from Buenos Aires to Puerto Iguazu where you will spend two nights discovering the almighty Iguazu Falls.
Enjoy a Full Day Tour of the Argentinian and Brazilian sides and discover one of the world’s most beautiful waterfalls from its many different angles.


Days 7-9 Rio de Janeiro
In the morning you will fly to Rio de Janeiro for three nights in the “Marvellous City”. You will stay in a centrally located hotel in Copacabana.
On your second day, enjoy an exciting jeep tour to Corcovado (Statue of Christ) and Sugar Loaf Mountain where you will have some fantastic views over the city.
With the rest of your time, you could visit the historic downtown area or the beautiful Botanical Gardens. Alternatively, you would be forgiven for spending your time sipping caipirinhas on the beautiful sands of Copacabana Beach!


Days 10-12 Paraty
You will be taken from Rio to Paraty. This quaint town of low-rise, colourful buildings, cobbled streets, boutique shops and buzzing restaurants is wonderful place to explore. On your second day, enjoy a relaxing schooner boat cruise into the bay, where you’ll stop for snorkelling in secluded coves and uninhabited beaches.


Days 13-14 Rio de Janeiro - UK
You will head back to Rio de Janeiro and on to the airport for your onward flight.
