Discover the best of Northern Argentina

This journey travels deep into the heart of Argentina, weaving together cultural cities, dramatic landscapes and wildlife-rich wetlands. Beginning with your journey from the UK to Buenos Aires, the itinerary reveals a country shaped by music, history and everyday traditions. Grand boulevards, historic neighbourhoods and a strong cultural identity provide a rich introduction, setting the tone for a journey defined by contrasting landscapes and regional character.

From the capital, you fly north to Salta, a city rooted in colonial history and Andean culture. Beyond the city, the landscapes unfold in striking fashion, from the sculpted scenery of the Humahuaca Gorge to the vast white expanse of the Salinas Grandes salt flats. In Purmamarca, the colours of the surrounding hills reflect the region’s geological history, while journeys through the Calchaquí Valleys reveal remote towns such as Cachi, historic estancias and vineyard landscapes shaped by altitude and mountain scenery.

The route continues to Cafayate, one of Argentina’s most important wine regions, before travelling through the dramatic rock formations of Quebrada de las Conchas. From here, the pace shifts as you arrive at Iguazú Falls. Exploring both the Argentine and Brazilian sides offers different perspectives on this remarkable natural wonder, where subtropical rainforest surrounds vast cascades and mist rises from the gorge below.

The journey concludes in the Iberá Wetlands, a peaceful and wildlife-rich region shaped by waterways and open landscapes. Staying at a lodge on the Paraná River, guided excursions reveal caiman, capybara and abundant birdlife, with time for gentle activities such as walking, horse riding and kayaking. It is a fitting finale before returning to Buenos Aires for your onward flight to the UK.
