Tom joined Latin Routes in October 2024 and has quickly immersed himself in all things Latin America. With a solid foundation in both Central and South America, he brings a growing depth of regional knowledge and a natural curiosity that drives his passion for travel. He's already experienced the thrill of volcano trekking at Acatenango, crossing the Guatemala–Belize border by boat, and completing several multi-day treks off the beaten track, all of which fuel his enthusiasm for helping others explore the region.
His favourite destination is Brazil, thanks to its unbeatable blend of vibrant culture, beautiful beaches, rich biodiversity, and welcoming spirit. He has also visited an impressive range of Latin American countries, including Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, and Uruguay, as well as around 40 countries outside the region. Tom’s ideal holidays are adventure-packed, active, and often off the beaten path, with a love for wildlife, multi-centre trips, and beach escapes.
Outside of his role, Tom keeps active with walking, hiking, swimming, and Pilates, and he enjoys discovering new places, reading, and taking on new adventures. His motto? "Why not?"—a perfect reflection of his adventurous spirit. Fun fact: He once played at Junior Wimbledon when he was just 13 years old!
