Michelle McPherson

Michelle McPherson joined Latin Routes in October 2023 after taking a break from a previous travel role to explore Latin America for six months. Since then, she has travelled extensively across the continent, including Patagonia, Costa Rica, and Panama, strengthening her expertise to become an Elite Travel Specialist.

Her favourite destinations are Ecuador, the Galapagos, and Patagonia, anywhere with wildlife, hiking, and outdoor adventures. Michelle has completed several multi-day hikes like the Salkantay Trek in Peru, the Lost City in Colombia, and El Mirador in Guatemala, and has visited the Galapagos Islands twice.

Michelle has also travelled widely across Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe, including living in Spain and the Canaries for a year each. Her personal motto is: “Always say yes and experience everything you can in a destination.” Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, cycling, and good food and drink. A fun fact,  she’s probably one of the few people who can translate Spanish into Doric!
