A family journey through jungle temples, ancient caves and Caribbean waters in Belize
From ancient temples to tropical reefs, this Belize adventure brings together discovery, wildlife and time well spent as a family.
Your journey begins in the verdant Cayo District, where dense jungle shelters some of the most impressive Maya sites in Latin America. Guided walks reveal towering temples and stories of ancient civilisations, while cave systems invite exploration beneath the forest floor. Paddle gently into Barton Creek Cave, drifting past crystalline formations and ceremonial chambers once used by the Maya. Take part in a traditional chocolate-making experience and learn how cacao has shaped local culture for centuries. At the Green Iguana Project, children can get up close to these fascinating reptiles and understand how conservation is protecting Belize’s wildlife for future generations.
From the rainforest, continue to Ambergris Caye, where clear turquoise waters and white sand beaches offer a change of pace. Set out on a glass-bottom boat to observe colourful coral gardens, or snorkel in shallow waters alongside nurse sharks and rays under expert supervision. Unhurried beach picnics, treasure hunts and storytelling sessions create space to relax and reconnect, all framed by the easy rhythm of island life.
Blending culture, nature and hands-on experiences, this family holiday in Belize is thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity and create shared memories that will stay with you long after you return home.
