After being picked up from your hotel, you'll be transported to Death Valley, a mountainous sandy valley near San Pedro. Death Valley is located inside the salt mountain range, a surprising spectacle of amazing forms, hills and minerals that shine in the distance.

Geologically it's essentially a sunken lake bottom, where the sediment stratums once horizontal, have been forced into a vertical position due to the folds in the crust. You will be able to walk between the huge sand dunes and admire the natural sand and salt sculptures.

Continue to the Moon Valley, one of the most spectacular phenomena in the Atacama Desert because of its geomorphic features of geological structures eroded over thousands of years.

You'll soon see why Moon Valley got its name. Strange figures that nature has formed of salt and clay litter the landscape, and you'll feel like you've landed on the moon! Once you've got your fill of the amazing landscapes and taken an optional short hike to one of the giant sand dunes in the valley, you'll return to your hotel in San Pedro in the evening.
