When Do You Want To Go?
The Falklands War was a ten-week conflict between Argentina and the United Kingdom. Thousands of Argentine and British Soldiers fought for control of the islands after Argentina invaded on the 2nd Apr 1982 Islands and claimed sovereignty over them. The conflict lasted a total of 74 days and ended with the Argentine surrender on 14 June 1982, returning the islands to British control. This tour will give you the opportunity to visit many of the key sites and battlefields of the conflict including Goose Green, Stanley and Tumbledown.
You will also have the opportunity to contemplate stunning landscapes and experience the culture of the Falklands Islands, in a 12-day Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrive at Falklands Islands
Day 2: Darwin, Goose Green & San Carlos
Day 3-4: Pebble Island
Day 5-6: Stanley

You will fly from London International airport to Santiago in Chile.
Santiago is vibrant and cosmopolitan. Its institutions reveal strong European and North American influences. The city has a lot to offer, and you should go to “La Plaza de Armas”, the main square and the centrepiece of the initial layout in Santiago. From there, you can visit places like La Moneda Palace, Santa Lucia Hill or the Central Market.
You will be able to visit Santiago at your own pace.
Your flight will arrive at Mount Pleasant International Airport via LATAM or direct from the UK via RAF. You will be met and greeted by a Falklands Islands representative, and then transferred to a settlement.
You will spend the day with a guide who will drive you around the Darwin, Goose Green and San Carlos settlements. You will visit the Argentine and British Cemeteries and the memorials such as the Liberation Monument.
Travel by plane to Pebble Island where a raid by British Special Forces took place. A guide will bring you around the island and you will visit the HMS Coventry Memorial with full battle commentary.
The next destination will be Stanley. You will be transferred to your accommodation and will have the day to explore the capital. The following day will be an excursion with a guide to the battle of Mount Harriet, where you can still see remnants of Argentine equipment on the field. From there, you will continue to Fitzroy settlement and observe memorials for the Welsh Guards and RFA, which is also the site of the Sir Galahad and Sir Tristram bombing.
This day, you will decide whether you want to pursue the Tour to Mount Longdon and Wireless Ridge – 2 sites recaptured 3 and 2 Parachute Regiment respectively, or a Tour of Mount Tumbledown where British launched an assault and succeeded in driving Argentinian forces.
Transfer to the Mount Pleasant International Airport will be provided. You will fly back to Chile and will be advised of the pick-up time the night prior to departure.
Please note a departure tax of £25 per person is payable to Immigration at Mount Pleasant prior to booking. Cash only. You will spend the night at Santiago de Chile in the accommodation of your choice.
Transfert to the airport will be provided and you will fly back to the UK.
