Meals, Days 2 & 3: B
This fantastic journey will take you to the world’s highest and driest desert – the Atacama. You’ll fly from Santiago to Calamá Airport, where a guide will be waiting for you and will take you on to the hotel on a shared transfer.
This outstanding region is one filled with huge salt flats, hot springs and steaming geysers, and you’d be forgiven for thinking you have landed on the moon, as you are greeted by a landscape of red rock as far as the eye can see!
The next day you fly back to Santiago and transfer straight to Valparaíso – a city that is also a UNESCO World Heritage site, perched on the edge of a steep hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This is an enchanting place, with a striking contrast between the colourful tin houses lining the hillside and the Victorian mansions down by the port. This once-thriving port town has a charming bohemian feel, and you'll be sure to love exploring its beautiful maze of narrow streets filled with an array of restaurants, bars, museums and colonial buildings.
