Varied 2 Week Itinerary Taking in Chile's Biggest Highlights

Our Highlights of Chile holiday takes in some of Chile’s top attractions including Santiago, the amazing Atacama Desert, the picturesque Lake District and the awe-inspiring Torres del Paine National Park.


Days 1- 3: Santiago

Fly overnight from the UK to Santiago for 2 nights in the capital city of Chile. Enjoy a fascinating Half Day City Tour on your first morning and learn about the fascinating multi-cultural history of Chile which has shaped what the country has become today. Your guide will also suggest great places to see with the rest of your time in the city.

With the rest of your time in the city you could head up the San Cristobal hill for a great view over the city or discover one of the cities many parks, art galleries and museums.

Days 4 - 6: Atacama Desert

Fly from Santiago to Calama to discover the Atacama Desert – the highest, driest desert in the World. You will spend 3 nights near to the town of San Pedro de Atacama. On your first afternoon you will head out on a tour to see sunset at the Moon Valley. The Moon Valley is a stunning canyon just a short drive from town and as the sun sets the rocks turn rich reds and oranges for some truly stunning scenes.

On the second day you will head out on a full day tour to the Altiplanico Lagoons before going onto the famous salt flats to see their resident flamingos. The day will be full of inspiring scenery that is sure to fill up your memory card!

Days 7 - 9: Chilean Lake District

You will head back to Calama Airport and fly to Puerto Montt for the Chilean Lake District (connection in Santiago). Upon arrival you will be transferred to the lake side town of Puerto Varas for 3 nights.

On your first day you will join a full day tour to the beautiful Chiloe Island. After taking the ferry across you will continue to the bay of Ancud. There you will take time to explore the community, the local craft and fish market and the famous San Antonio fortress. If it is within the season, you will then continue to see the Penguin Colony at Punihuil Cove.

With the rest of your time in the Lakes you may decide to enjoy one of the many adventure activities on offer or just relax and admire the view!

Days 10 - 13: Torres del Paine

Today you will fly South to Punta Arenas in the heart of Chilean Patagonia. On arrival you will be driven the several hours into the famous Torres del Paine National Park, where you will have four whole days to enjoy a range of shared activities as part of your all-inclusive accommodation.

The days spent in the park guarantee you some of the most dramatic and stunning scenery you will ever see. Think giant snow-capped mountains, beautiful bright blue lakes and enormous glaciers.

Day 14: Santiago

With a camera full of the amazing sights, you will fly to Santiago for one final night. Why not spend your last afternoon stocking up on last minute souvenirs at the craft markets?

Days 15 - 16: Fly to UK

You will head back to Santiago airport for your overnight flight back to the UK.
