About Me

After graduating with my degree in Sports Science, I spent 2 and a half years travelling the world. Beginning in Australia, working and travelling for a year, which got me hooked on the travel bug, from there I went on to travel through Asia and the United States and then down into Central and South America.

My Travel Experience

In total I spent 8 months travelling around South and Central America beginning my journey in Quito, from here I visited much of mainland Ecuador, before flying to the Galapagos Islands where the wildlife was a real highlight for me. I then went on to visit Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Colombia then ventured into Central America, visiting most destinations including Panama, Costa Rica and finishing up in Cuba.

So far I have managed to visit 46 countries, and my favourites are all in Latin America. 

On returning to the UK after travelling, I immediately decided that working in travel was my chosen path, as it enables me to relive my memories and gives me fantastic opportunities to adventure. I have been with Latin Routes for over 3 years, working my way up and learning as I go. Working at Latin Routes has enabled me to revisit Latin America several times, experiencing similar holidays that our clients get to go on.

One of my highlights travelling with Latin Routes was to Brazil where I visited the North East Brazillian city of Fortaleza, you can read about this in my blog.

My Favourite Experience

I have so many favourite places within the continent, I struggle to put together a top 10 let alone pinpoint one favourite experience. But the first place that comes to mind is the Galapagos. As a massive David Attenborough fan, it was like being in the middle of a wildlife documentary! But Patagonia, the Amazon, Machu Picchu and Rio Carnival all must get honourable mentions as my favourite experiences.
