About Me
After gaining a degree in Music & Media Management, I knew I wanted to get into marketing, I moved to Spain for three years where I started working for online gaming companies, and when I moved back to the UK I entered the travel industry, I have been with Latin Routes for 3 years now and have never looked back!
My Travel Experience
I am lucky and extremely thankful that my previous job allowed me to travel quite a bit across the world, although I am yet to venture into Latin America, its always fascinated me as a continent. Learning about Peru in school, the Inca’s and the culture really stayed with me and since then it has always been high on my list of places to visit. Having worked at Latin Routes for a few years now I have really learned so much about all the destinations across Latin America and how diverse they are. Next on my list is Costa Rica!
My Favourite Experience
I will soon be visiting Costa Rica which I am extremely excited about, it has been on my travel wishlist for several years now. My favourite experience when travelling is always the people. I think its so important to experience local culture and traditions when visiting a new destination to really get under the skin of a place and see it from beyond the tourist trail. I try to live by this wherever I visit.
My Top Tips
My top tip would be to know your budget and exactly what you want to see early on, from most important, to least important. That way if things don’t work within your budget or timeframe, you can amend in order of what is less of a priority and work your way through. There’s nothing worse than having a whole list of things to see and do, and then find out your budget expectations are unrealistic or otherwise.
