About Me

The only thing I’ve ever really known I wanted to do with my life was to travel. After leaving University I worked two jobs to fund a year travelling solo around the world, and on my return, I quickly realised the best way to satiate my passion for travel was to work in the industry itself. Now with over ten years of experience across a variety of roles, most of that time spent in Product, I am thrilled to be heading up the Product department at Latin Routes, building relationships with suppliers and developing our product portfolio to enhance clients’ experiences for a destination that I love.

My Travel Experience

My year travelling around the world afforded me a complete range of experiences, such as waitressing in Tokyo, learning to dive in Thailand, trekking the Inca Trail and partying during Rio’s Carnival. Since then I have been lucky enough to travel to over 50 countries, and the more I travel the longer my list gets! I am always looking for new destinations around the world to explore, but I have always had a soft spot for Latin America since my gap year, and the continent offers so much diversity that I never tire of re-visiting as there is always something new to see. 

My Favourite Experience

There are way too many to pick just one, but visiting the Galapagos Islands was one of my most unforgettable trips and a really special experience. I’d read so much about them before going, but it really is such a unique destination that has to be seen to be believed. The wildlife encounters are incredible; birds, iguanas and marine life not seen anywhere else in the world are all completely fearless of humans and more than happy to walk or swim right up to you!
