Latin Routes Limited is a tour operator with 2 brands (Latin Routes and Polar Routes) that offer tailormade holidays to Latin America and expedition cruises to the Polar regions. We sell directly to the public as well as to the trade, selling through travel agents throughout the UK. We currently have an amazing opportunity to join the company as we move into our 11th year of business. Having started from scratch with little finance or investment, in a tiny office above a pizza shop, we have grown to become a leading brand in the market of Latin American holidays and Expedition Cruises to the Polar Regions.
As you can imagine there is a passionate, entrepreneurial spirit in everything we do. We are creative in our thinking and are always looking at ways we can do things differently to stand out amongst our competition. We undoubtedly remain as ambitious as the day we started and have big plans for the future.
As the Marketing Executive, you will have a direct impact on the marketing efforts of the company. We are looking for an individual with a great analytical mind, bright ideas, good commercial awareness, and the ability to find ways to make Latin Routes, and Polar Routes stand out amongst our competitors. This is a full-on role with a large part to play in the development of the company. You will need to demonstrate strong organisational skills, great attention to detail, perseverance and drive to see our marketing efforts through to completion. It is vital you are passionate about Latin America, the polar regions, and long-haul worldwide travel, as everything you do in the role, will be related to this.

Marketing Executive
• Experience in a previous marketing role in the travel industry, with a minimum of 2 years experience
• Ability to carry out all functions described in the job specification
• A creative mind with a wealth of ideas for ways to make the company stand out amongst its competitors, in its marketing efforts
• Outgoing personality with the ability to confidently meet and present the company to a wide range of people including suppliers, press, clients and the trade.
• An analytical mind with a keen eye for numbers able to analyse statistics, details, and trends.
• Proven track record in significantly improving the digital capability of an organisation.
• Commercially minded individual, with a drive to help the business grow
• Good eye for design and branding

The role is a hybrid one which includes 2 set days in our head office in Kingston Upon Thames, currently Tuesdays and Thursdays. This enables the team to be together for collaboration and support. For the other days you are welcome to choose whether you work from the office or at home and currently, the majority of the team choose to work from home on those days.
Your flexibility will be required to work at any location across London on occasion (such as travel shows) and there may be the occasional ad-hoc requirement to work an additional day or two in the office. The hours are 42.5 per week, Monday-Friday, 9 am – 5:30 pm with 45 minutes for lunch.
There may be the occasional requirement to work an additional weekend for specific events, but time for this is given back in lieu. Members of the Marketing team are also expected to attend evening networking events throughout the year where required.
In return, you will receive a competitive basic salary dependent on experience. Employees will also receive 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays and birthday), which increases with length of service. Please note we have a holiday embargo at key periods of the year for your department.
