With over 20 years’ experience, the Manatee River Explorer has been exclusively designed to explore the Amazon in comfort. The riverboat-style expedition vessel travels through the Yasuni National Park which is the largest protected animal reserve in Ecuador. A sister boat to the Anakonda, this expedition vessel has a shallow draught meaning it can explore little-visited areas of the Napo River. Fully equipped with motorised canoes and kayaks, guests can discover tributaries and lakes with no other visitors around. The Manatee River Explorer offers four, five and eight day itineraries led by experienced naturalist guides, where guests will have the opportunity to visit local communities, take night hikes and visit an observation tower in the treetops.
The boat is maintained to a high standard and facilities include a dining room, a bar and lounge area. There is also an observation deck including a Jacuzzi where guests can relax between excursions. The Manatee has 14 cabins each with large, floor-to-ceiling windows, private balcony and en suite facilities.
