The magical winding Amazon River is home to some of the most biodiverse wildlife, birdlife and plant species in the world, and what better way to see it than on a cruise. The Aqua Nera offers exceptional levels of service, with a highly exclusive 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio guests can expect to receive a personalised, five-star experience.
There are 20 spacious and elegantly designed suites, each with huge picture windows, private en suite facilities, air-conditioning and a sitting area where guests can enjoy the passing views. Communal areas on the boat include indoor and outdoor bars, plunge pool, a cosy lounge, gym, spa, games room and a tasteful restaurant serving native Amazonian produce.
As the Aqua Nera cruises towards Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, the Amazon River meets the tributaries of Marañón and Ucayali. Here, guests can spot endangered pink river dolphins dipping in and out of the waters and see the famous, giant water lilies. While on dry land, squirrel and saddleback tamarin monkeys swing from tree branches, and brown three-toed sloth or capybara can be seen at the rivers’ edge. Guests have the opportunity to kayak, canoe, swim or fish for piranhas in the river.
