Day 1:

The starting point for this cruise is in Valparaiso. You will depart at 4PM, but before then you can take the time to explore this marvellous corner of Chile. There are so many things to love about this city and that which was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003. While here make sure not to miss the beautiful steep funiculars, the colourful clifftop homes as well as the unique former residence of the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda.

Day 2:

You will arrive at Coquimbo early in the morning at 9am, and depart later, at around 4pm. As the ship gets closer you will recognise this port city by the rocky hills of Peninsula Coquimbo. An interesting fact about the city's name 'Coquimbo' is that it derives from a native Diaguita word that means 'place of calm waters'. More interesting even, is that Charles Darwin himself has described the city as “remarkable for nothing but its extreme quietness”. Need a break from the craziness of everyday life? This cruise is adventure and bliss all in one.

While here make sure to wander around the beautifully restored 19th-century Barrio Inglés (English Quarter) and visit the fishing jetty for some fresh seafood

Day 3:

Arrive at the beautiful Isla Pan De Azucar (or Sugarloaf Island) at 1pm. This subtriangular-shaped island is part of the Pan de Azucar National Park and home to roughly 2000 Humboldt penguins. Here these penguins find a safe place to breed, spend their days fishing, swimming and diving. Other species also live here, including South American marine otters, sea lions, pelicans, Kelp Gulls and Peruvian Boobies. If you always seek to see places that are in perfect harmony with nature, Isla Pan De Azucar, will not disappoint. Departure from the island will be at 5pm.

Day 4 & 5:

You will arrive at your next destination, Antofagasta, early in the morning at around 8.30am and spend two days here. Antofagasta is a port city and regional capital in a mining area in Northern Chile's Atacama Desert. It is known for its coper and nitrate production, and it is also an important hub for rail traffic to La Paz, Bolivia, and Salta. While here make sure to visit the old-fashioned plaza and to take a closer look at the Victorian and Georgian buildings found in the coastak Barrio Historico. These are remains from the golden nitrate era which are simply too beautiful to miss.

Departure will be at 11pm.

Day 6:

This day will be spent at sea on your way to Arica. As there is no specific schedule for this day you can take some time for yourself and enjoying the ship's fantastic facilities. How about doing a language or dance class? You can also go for wine tasting or a matinee movie. If you are not interested in group activities, there's lots to do on board while on your own - you can use the Internet Point, visit the designer boutiques, head to the library, watch a movie in your suite or simply enjoy the sun by the pool. Days at sea are fantastic to reconnecting with yourself while traveling with one of the world's best views – the sea.

Day 7:

After cruising the sea overnight, you will arrive in Arica at 6.30am. This sunny and warm port city is fantastic for any ocean lover as it is famous for its surfing beaches. Take some time to walk around the centre and take the path that goes up to Morro hill where the most stunning views of the city can be enjoyed. Make sure to also visit the Museo Historico y de Armas (War Museum) as well as the stunning Gothic San Marcos Cathedral designed by Gustave Eiffel in metal and wood. There is a fantastic pedestrian mall where you can wander around, but if that gets too dull you can always enjoy the brown-sugar beaches which are only a few metres from the city centre.

Departure at 6PM

Day 8:

Another day and another town to discover. This time you will be visiting Matarani and arrival should be at 6.30am. Matarini is a major port city in south-western Peru and a gateway to Arequipa, a big touristic attraction in Peru. This port is more important than you might think, as it is a crucial element of the current plan between the governments of Peru and Brazil that allow easy commercial movement between the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans by both countries. After some hours exploring the town head back to the ship just in time for departure at 7pm.

Day 9:

Another day at sea. While on your way to Paracas take some time to do some more activities you love or to try some classes you haven't had the chance to try before. If you are having trouble deciding, you can ask for help, as the on-board staff is always eager to make your journey more memorable with ideas/activities that you can try. You can also fill in family and friends on your fantastic trip by heading to on board Internet point. The choices are endless, the decision is yours.

Day 10:

You will arrive in Paracas at 7am so it will be an early start. You will be visiting two different towns on this days so make sure to start the day with a big breakfast as you will need the energy.

Paracas is located on the west coast of Peru and is highly recognised for its beaches such as the El Chaco beach located on the Paracas Bay. It is a natural wonder of Peru filled with historical importance. The weather is always pleasant here so anytime is a good time to come and visit Paracas. You might find yourself mesmerized by the rich wildlife of this port town, so don't get too surprised if you constantly spot condors flying by or pink flamingos resting by the shore. After a few hours exploring you will depart at 12 PM and head to Ballestas Islands.

You will arrive at your next destination by 3pm and stay roughly until 6.30pm which means every minute counts. The Ballestras Islands is a big highlight for many guests as here you can experience sights that are not common in everyday life. These islands have been kept in their original state, being only inhabited by sea lions, pelicans, Peruvian boobies and Humboldt penguins. As one of the most beautiful natural attractions in Peru, the Ballestras Islands are the perfect place to appreciate the beauty of simplicity as well as our world's most fascinating “invention” - nature.

Day 11:

Your last day will end on a high  as you arrive at the port of Callao (Lima) at 6.30am, enjoy your breakfast, and get ready for another day discovering something new. As you arrive at this oceanfront town you will see lots of traces of the far gone colonial-era. Take a walk around the regal buildings that surround the Plaza de Armas, visit the gnarled olive trees of San Isidro's Parque El Olivar, or head to the winding lanes in the coastal community of Barranco. Most importantly, make memories. That's what you will take back home with you, forever.
