Now that the world is starting to open back up to international travel in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, we want to let you know the different ways in which we're ready to support you when you are next ready to travel to Latin America.
Your safety is our number one concern, so we have reviewed all of the health and safety guidelines for our holidays and made changes wherever necessary in order to ensure the continued health and wellbeing of all our guests.
We work with some of the best suppliers across Latin America and, working together, we have developed guidance to assist our partners on the ground so as to ensure they have the necessary Covid-19 protocols in place for their respective operations – transport, accommodation services, excursions and cruising. These important protocols will assist in minimising, as much as possible, any risk of Covid-19 transmission to both our customers and our staff.
Regulations and requirements in terms of physical distancing vary between countries and continue to be revised by governments. Please rest assured that all clients will therefore be given local guidance on the physical distancing requirements to be observed during their holiday, according to the local laws and regulations in place at the time of travelling. Where necessary, the number of passenger’s onboard vehicles will be at a reduced capacity, there will be no close contact between clients and staff, and there will be appropriate explanatory signage and screens to help in maintaining physical distancing.
Our staff have all been trained in new health and safety procedures specific to Covid-19, including cleaning and sanitising procedures and how to identify and deal with any suspected case of Covid-19. Our staff are, and will continue to be, regularly screened, and will receive ongoing training on how to protect themselves and others from the spread of Covid-19, so as to be able to inform guests travelling with Latin Routes of all specific and up-to-date Covid-19 procedures. We are committed to ensuring all our staff always understand the current risk levels, any changes in governmental advice or procedures, and the dangers of non-compliance.

Latin Routes staff are always on hand to answer any questions or concerns our guests may have, and this extends to everything relating to Covid-19. Our partners in Latin America are trained in how to deal with emergency procedures and have the knowledge and support already in place so as to be able to assist our guests should the unexpected arise.
We continually monitor all of our health and safety protocols and procedures, including the Covid-19 Risk Management System, so as to be in line with government and legislation changes and advice. We also have staff supervision in place so as to ensure the control measures are always being carried out effectively, and processes whereby we can quickly implement adjustments to any protocols or procedures when needed.
Latin Routes have introduced a number of flexible booking measures, so you can relax and book with the reassurance that if the circumstances change, you will be free to change your plans. Please view our Relax and Book Policy for more information.
