Search for exotic flora and fauna in Peru’s Amazon rainforest
La Perla is an ideal choice for a relaxed stay while exploring Peru’s Amazon rainforest. This four-day itinerary takes guests from the Marañón River, into the Amazon River and on to the Ucayali River. The confluence of the Marañón and Ucayali Rivers is where the waters become the mighty Amazon River itself. This cruise will allow passengers the opportunity to see nocturnal wildlife, such as bats, alligators, frogs and tarantulas, on evening boat rides; explore during the day and look for macaws, toucans, sloths and monkeys high in the trees. The flora is just as incredible as the wildlife, you may see giant water lilies that can grow up to 10ft wide, colourful epiphytes and bromeliads, not to mention the magnificently tall trees that tower over you.

Itinerary
Day 1: Iquitos city tour, embark ship and evening boat excursion in search of nocturnal wildlife
Day 2: Sunrise birdwatching, morning river skiff ride. Afternoon Amazonian community visit.
Day 3: Explore Piraña Cocha area, afternoon jungle walk, visit a local community to see their handicrafts.
Day 4: Early morning local market visit, disembark and visit the Manatee Rescue Centre en route to airport.
