Kayak and cruise, hike and relax on the luxurious Delfin II
The Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is known as the ‘Jungle of Mirrors’ and travelling in high-water season, it’s easy to see why. The black waters beautifully reflect the trees in the calm surface, allowing for incredible photography opportunities. On this four-day cruise, you’ll explore the backwaters and tributaries by skiff where your expert naturalist guides will help you seek out the local wildlife and birdlife. You’ll have the opportunity to fish for the Amazon’s carnivorous piranhas, go on jungles hikes to learn about the rainforests medicinal plants and look for reptiles, arachnids, and colourful insects, and travel at your own pace by kayak on the calm waters of smaller creeks, tributaries and lagoons.
On the final day you’ll have the opportunity to feed manatees at the Rescue & Rehabilitation Center of River Mammals. The team here care for endangered species whose lives and habitats are threatened, animal species vary but you may see river otters, monkeys or turtles.

Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Iquitos and embark ship, afternoon skiff excursion.
Day 2: Morning jungle hike, afternoon piranha fishing and kayaking.
Day 3: Morning trail walk and community visit, afternoon sail to the Union of the Rivers.
Day 4: Visit Rescue & Rehabilitation Center of River Mammals en route to Iquitos Airport.
