This short three-day cruise is a fantastic introduction to the Amazon. You’ll have the chance to spot tropical birdlife flying overhead, look for shy pink river dolphins and fish for the Amazon’s infamous, carnivorous piranhas. You’ll pass the “meeting of the waters”, an incredible spectacle where the light-coloured Amazon River water meets the dark black waters of the Rio Negro, flowing side-by-side for miles, without mixing. After a tasty dinner onboard the clipper your evenings will be spent on canoe rides in search of frogs, snakes, sloths, night-hawks and other nocturnal wildlife, under a vast sky of stars and you’ll hopefully be able to see some of the constellations of the southern hemisphere too.

Day 1: Embark ship at Manaus and sail upstream, evening nocturnal cruise.

Day 2: Early morning canoe ride on Janauaca Lake, morning jungle walk, afternoon piranha fishing, evening canoe ride.

Day 3: Early morning birdwatching, sail to the “meeting of the waters”, evening canoe ride.
