Business Product Executive

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our growing trade team as a full-time trade representative in the North of England and Scotland. You will be responsible for growing our industry sales by building new relationships and maintaining existing ones with our agents by offering consistent training and support as well as communicating to the travel trade to educate them on new products and services, delivering marketing material and identifying new business opportunities.

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious person, someone who loves Latin America or with extensive training believes they can inspire others.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximise and grow agency sales in the travel industry in the UK
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our travel agent partners to help make agents remember Latin Routes and encourage them to use us
  • Creating and updating training presentations to a high standard, adhering to Latin Routes brand guidelines
  • Provide excellent training sessions to trade partners with enthusiasm and passion including regular sales visits in person, as well as leading webinars
  • Provide consistent communication with agency partners to communicate news, product updates, incentives and training
  • Manage your own day-to-day schedule with help and guidance as required
  • Attending and hosting (if applicable) travel trade, consumer and conference events. This requires regular evening and occasional weekend work
  • Incorporating booking incentives into training presentations, and coordinating the issuing of prizes alongside the BD Manager
  • Creating fam trips and hosting selected fam trips to Latin America
  • Updating social media channels with any trade activity on a regular basis
  • To be familiar with the trends of the company's and competitors’ products and to advise the Business Development Manager accordingly.
  • Regular visits to the Head office in Kingston upon Thames as required (normally monthly)
  • Collecting travel agent contact information during sales calls, and update the database accordingly
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to travel agent queries and assist with any requests, issues and support they need
  • Help manage sales budgets alongside BD Manager
  • Monthly reporting on agent calls and visit activity
  • Regular driving is required, therefore a clean driving license and car is essential

About You

  • Some travel experience of Latin America or a willingness to learn

  • Good sense of humour!

The Details

The role will be field based covering a region in the UK, but you will need to attend meetings in Kingston. There may be a requirement to cover the occasional event or meeting outside of your area.

The hours are 42.5 per week, predominantly Monday-Friday. There is a requirement to work evenings and weekends where needed to attend events, conferences and travel shows. Time for this is given back in lieu.

In return the successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of between £27k-£30k based on experience, along with mileage and travel expenses.

The candidate needs to hold a full clean driving license.

We are a fun and sociable team and although a field-based role, we would still like someone to join our team who wants to be a part of the Latin Routes culture and grow the business with us to become the largest Latin America tour operator in the UK.
