When Do You Want To Go?
Megan studied Spanish and Comparative Literature at the University of St Andrews, Scotland, and graduated in June 2018. She has lived and travelled through Scotland, and visited other countries in Europe. Her first travels to Latin America came when she went to Nicaragua to work on a community project.
During her degree, she took a year out from her studies and travelled to Argentina, where she quickly found work as an English teacher in Misiones province, not far from Iguazu Falls.
Her time in Argentina gave her plenty of opportunities to travel and she visited Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Salta, Cordoba, Corrientes and Iguazu Falls.
Megan's favourite place is Salta. "The scenery is just incredible - dramatic landscapes carved from rugged, red rock and quaint little towns. It is very different from the rest of Argentina, partly due to the influence of its northern neighbour Bolivia."
My favourite hidden gem is the Termas Cacheuta spa, that you'll find embedded in the mountains just outside of Mendoza. After a scenic drive through the mountain range, you arrive at the thermal springs which look out onto the beautiful natural landscape. The spa is surrounded by lovely garden areas which are definitely worth exploring.
