With the hotel only a 20 minute drive away from the falls, near the rustic town of Puerto Iguazu, the location is almost ideal (although it might be difficult to leave the lavishness of the hotel once you’ve arrived). The entrance to the hotel is an attraction in itself – with a spectacular wooden footbridge raised above the jungle leading to the front door, the sense of opulence is ever-present.
The real highlight, however, is ‘The Villa’. This huge, self-contained suite not only has state-of-the-art facilities (such as high speed internet and a flat screen TV), but also has a spectacular panoramic view which overlooks the river and includes a 30 metre balcony.
In the evening, dine at the Naipi restaurant which caters for a wide variety of tastes and incorporating lots of international meals. As a bonus, there is a snack bar so you’ll never be hungry! Afterwards, relax at the Tiki Bar, located near the pools, have a drink and take a relaxing swim as the sun goes down. No one has ever returned from the LOI Suites disappointed!
