When Do You Want To Go?
A 6-day itinerary to explore the Ecuadorian capital of Quito, and the pristine Galápagos Islands.
Land in Quito, the first city in the world to be declared a UNESCO World Heritage site back in 1978, and appreciate its beautiful surroundings, colonial architecture and impressive buildings – including the Virgin of El Panecillo, sitting atop a hill and overlooking the city. You will then travel to a wonderfully contrasting scenery: the awe-inspiring islands that have fascinated explorers, naturalists, sailors and occasionally even pirates – the pristine Galápagos!
The Galápagos Islands are an archipelago consisting of 13 main islands filled with spectacular landscapes and endemic species of birds, land and marine mammals. On this holiday, you will encounter unique species such as the Galapagos giant tortoises, sea lions, land iguanas and red-footed boobies standing on lava fields, amongst many others. Onboard the vessel, you will enjoy luxurious and comfortable facilities. The expedition team will give you a quick brief before visiting each island, so you’ll know what to expect. Their aim is to safely bring you as close to the wildlife as you can get.

Once you arrive in Quito, you will stay at Wyndham Quito Airport hotel, a comfortable hotel where you can relax and take advantage of the facilities before exploring the fascinating city of Quito, at your own pace.
High in the Andes, this capital city is located between mountain peaks, and has maintained its character and rich history whilst modernising its infrastructure. Wander around the streets and appreciate the colonial architecture of Quito's historic centre.
After breakfast, you will take a flight to the pristine archipelago of the Galápagos!
You will land in Baltra Island and stay at Galápagos Habitat. The Hotel Galápagos Habitat is an exclusive ecological experience, and the surrounding mangroves and stunning views of Academy Bay are reason enough to make you want to stay in and enjoy the hotel’s facilities from the outdoor patio and loungers, or from the newly renovated Almar Restaurant. You might even spot a few sea lions making themselves comfortable on the private deck!
The next day, you will board the Catamaran Ocean Spray, ready for the adventure of your lifetime!
On board the vessel, you will visit the magical islands and encounter their wonderful wildlife.
San Cristobal Island
Being the easternmost island in the Galápagos archipelago, it is also one of the oldest islands from a geological perspective. You will find endemic species such as lava lizards and red-footed boobies, and visit many places including the Kicker Rock – a striking rock formation off the Western shore, home to a large colony of seabirds and a perfect location for kayaking and scuba diving.
Floreana Island has beautiful white-sand beaches. In the 18th century, whalers used to leave and receive their letters in a barrel, to be picked up and delivered by other passing sailors. The tradition continues and you might even find a letter you can deliver when back home!
The island offers a trail overlooking a saltwater lagoon filled with flamingos at Cormorant Point. You will also be snorkelling in one the best sites in the Galápagos at Devil’s Crown – a ring of jagged rocks that is home to an amazing variety of marine life.
Santa Cruz Island
This island is home to giant tortoises and lush green forests, hills and volcanoes. The highlands are situated in the northern part of the island and can reach elevations up to 2,835 feet!
You will head to Baltra airport from where you will fly back to the mainland, to Quito, to connect with your international flight. You will arrive home the next day.
