Our 22 day Ecuador and Peru holiday is a great way to combine 2 fabulous countries into one amazing holiday! From the wildlife of the Galapagos to the ancient civilisations of Peru and of course the world famous site of Machu Picchu – this holiday has it all!

Start by discovering Ecuador’s bustling colonial city of Quito before taking a journey through the spectacular Avenue of the Volcanoes and discovering Ecuadors beautiful countryside. Next you will head onto the magical Galapagos Islands to sail amongst the unique wildlife that call the archipelago home.

The holiday then moves on to Peru and the cosmopolitan city of Lima and then Cusco, the ancient capital of the Incas. Here you will go on to explore the world famous Machu Picchu and then hop aboard the Andean Explorer train to Lake Titicaca where your journey ends with a visit to the local communities of the Uros Floating Islands.

Days 1 – 2: Quito

Depart UK for Quito where you will spend 2 nights discovering Ecuador’s colonial capital, with its ancient buildings, friendly locals and traditional culture. Take a guided walking tour of the historical centre to understand the importance of Quito’s history and lasting cultural practices.

Days 3 - 6: Avenue of Volcanoes

Over the next 3 nights you will take a guided journey by road through the Ecuadorian countryside, surrounded by the towering peaks of ancient volcanoes. Spend a day exploring the beautiful Cotopaxi National Park and the next day enjoy a visit to the must-see crater of Quilotoa and its brightly coloured lagoon. Experience the greenery of the Baños valley, where you will have a full day tour of its incredible waterfalls. After arriving in Riobamba, brave the thrilling Devil’s Nose Train journey along a wall of sheer rock.

Day 7: Cuenca

At the end of your journey through the Avenue of Volcanoes, you will spend 2 nights in the pretty city of Cuenca where you can take a full day to relax and enjoy the local sites at your own pace.

Day 8: Guayaquil

Take the road to Guayaquil via the Las Cajas National Park in Ecuador’s highlands, where you’ll have the opportunity for some wildlife spotting. On arrival in Guayaquil, check in for 1 night in this coastal city. Spend the evening promenading the bustling Malecon 2000, on the banks of the River Guayas.

Days 9 – 12: Galapagos Islands

Take a two-hour flight to the Galapagos National Park. Over 5 days and 4 nights you will sail between the islands of this magnificent archipelago, coming into close contact with Giant Tortoises, Galapagos Penguins and Blue-footed Boobies. Enjoy a range of activities such as gentle hikes, snorkeling and sea-kayaking.

Day 13: Lima

Take a short flight back to Guayaquil, where you will connect on to the cosmopolitan city of Lima in Peru for 1 night.

Days 14 – 16: Cusco & Machu Picchu

This morning enjoy a half day tour of Peru’s coastal capital before taking a short flight to Cusco, the historic capital of the Incan Empire. You will spend 3 nights in the area and spend your first day getting to know this UNESCO World Heritage site on a half day city tour of the town and surrounding ancient ruins.

The next day starts early by taking the train from Cusco to Aguas Calientes where you will go on to explore the spectacular Machu Picchu citadel. Learn all about this crown of the Incan Empire with a local guide and afterwards enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.

Day 17: Andean Explorer

Today it’s All aboard the famous Andean Explorer train from Cusco to Puno (Lake Titicaca). Get ready for a day of spectacular scenery, as you climb to an altitude of more than 12,500ft. Upon arrival into Puno you will spend 2 nights on the shores of Lake Titicaca

Day 18: Lake Titicaca

Today enjoy a full day tour where you will explore the floating islands of Uros and Taquile. Discover their indigenous communities and ancient way of life.

Days 19 – 20: Fly to UK

Today the adventure comes to an end with a short flight back to Lima before connecting on to an overnight flight back to the UK.

Guantanamera - Budget

The Guantanamera is the ideal boat for travellers looking for a good standard of motor boat at a great price. Facilities on-board are failry basic but comfortable and the ship features a cosy restaurant/lounge and large sun deck, perfect for wildlife viewing.

The ship has 6 twin cabins with bunk beds, and 2 double cabins with a matrimonial bed. Each room has storage and a private bathroom.


Anahi - Comfort

M/C Yacht Anahi is a Power Catamaran Yacht built in Guayaquil, Ecuador and launched at the end of 2006 at high standard level of comfort. She offers accommodations in 6 twin (2 can be transformed in a double bed) cabins (14m2 each) located in the main deck and 2 suit cabins (25m2 each) located in the upper deck.

As a Catamaran, the Anahi has great stability and is a good choice for passengers who have little or no experience at sea. The Anahi has an environmental and social friendly operation, ensuring a responsible and sustainable tourism.
