Arrive into Rio de Janeiro on a flight from the UK and overnight at your hotel.
From Rio, fly north to the state of Amazonas where you will have the chance to explore the city of Manaus. Once famous for the rubber boom of the late 19th century, the city is now the main gateway to the mighty Amazon river and rainforest. After a night at your hotel, you will be collected early in the morning to take an exciting transfer to your remote Amazon Lodge.
These two days will be packed with incredible experiences as you enjoy the activities included in your stay at the lodge. Along with an experienced local guide, look out for chattering monkeys up in the canopy, try piranha fishing or listen for the sounds of tree frogs on a nocturnal safari.
After being transported to Manaus airport, you will take a flight to Belo Horizonte in the east of this enormous country. Spend two nights in the fascinating city of Ouro Preto, set atop the rolling hills of Minas Gerais. Picturesque Ouro Preto and neighbouring Mariana offer many examples of Baroque and Rococo architecture, which will be explored with your own knowledgeable guide.
Enjoy a scenic drive via Belo Horizonte towards the Serra do Cipó National Park. Settle into your pousada on the outskirts of the park and get a dose of authentic Brazilian country life! Get your walking boots on and camera charged up for two full days of guided activities, such as hiking nature trails, swimming in waterfalls, canoeing and horse-back riding through some of the most spectacular scenery of the region.
Time to leave the countryside behind for the glitz and glamour of Rio de Janeiro! During your days here, you will be given a tour of the city’s most iconic landmarks and have enough free time to soak up the atmosphere of the famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches.
For the final few days of your trip, experience the bliss of the Buzios peninsula, just a few hours’ drive outside of Rio. On the seventeen idyllic beaches the atmosphere is laid-back and relaxed, while in the town centre the numerous restaurants and bars are buzzing with families and friends enjoying their holidays in what is often referred to as the St. Tropez of Brazil.
After checking-out of your hotel, you will be collected and transferred along the coastal highway towards Rio de Janeiro international airport, where you will board your flight back to the UK.
