Beautiful hotel with stunning gardens, perfect for relaxing and appreciating the landscapes
Sol y Luna is one of our favourite hotels in Peru and is located in the heart of the Sacred Valley, just 1km outside Urubamba. Designed by a French owner, the hotel is made up of 43 casitas (small individual houses) which are made of adobe, wood and stone that gives an authentic Incan feel which is warm and homely. Surrounding the buildings is beautiful gardens with amazing flowers which offer different colours throughout the seasons.
The hotel offers a small outdoor swimming pool, restaurant, gift shop and the Yacu Wasi spa. The spa features a fully-equipped gym, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, and Spanish bath. There is also an extensive range of treatments available. The Killa Wasi Relais and Chateaux Restaurant serves delicious cuisine which has a distinctive mix of Andean, coastal and international flavours. All of the tables surround a lovely fireplace and upstairs you will find a cosy gallery bar.
There are 3 room categories at Sol y Luna each in an individual Casita. Superior Rooms are located in round buildings and offer a king size or twin beds, private bathroom and small terrace with seats to admire the view. We highly recommend the upgrade to Deluxe Suites which are almost 3 times the size and offer a full lounge area, open fire, palatial bathroom and a full size terrace with sun loungers.
The Sacred Valley is the perfect place to enjoy a range of activities including horse riding, trekking, rafting and mountain biking which the hotel can organise for you if you so wish.
