The Libertador Puno is a landmark building built in the Bauhaus style in the 80’s and remains today as a great example of this type of architecture. Located on its own island the hotel offers panoramic views of Lake Titicaca from almost everywhere in the hotel. You can also take a stroll around the island for even better photo opportunities or choose to sip a delicious Pisco Sours on the terrace of the bar.
The hotel has 123 rooms and it is located at one extreme of Titicaca, in the bay of Puno on a rocky hill surrounded by the extensive reed forest or 'totorales' that dominate this side of the bay.
Rooms are compact but offer everything you require for a comfortable stay including king size beds, private bathroom, flat screen TV and heating controls. The hotel also has a good restaurant which serves a delicious breakfast each morning and a menu of Peruvian cuisines throughout the day. There is an extensive lounge with an open fire as well as a bar area complete with billiards table and terrace. There is also a spa with Jacuzzi and treatment room and a private pier from where boats set sail to the islands of Uros, Taquile or Amantani.
A stay at the Libertador Lake Titicaca, offers you a privileged position from which to marvel at the richly coloured dawn sky or relax at the end of the day with a glass of red wine as you watch the sunset over the lake.
- Great views over the lake Titicaca from almost every part of the hotel
- Located on its own island with private pier
