Posada Amazonas is a 30-bedroom rainforest lodge just a 45-minute boat ride from Puerto Maldonado. This spacious lodge offers an excellent combination of convenience and comfort with outstanding opportunities to see Amazonian wildlife, all during a short break of as little as two nights. Despite being relatively close to Puerto Maldonado, the Posada Amazonas gives guests the chance to see many native animals such as howler monkeys, squirrel monkeys, parrots and macaws. The lodge is also home to a family of giant river otters.
Owned by the indigenous Ese-Eja community of Infierno, the lodge is located within the communal reserve, next to the Tambopata National Reserve. There are five wings of 6 rooms connected by raised boardwalks. All rooms have private bathrooms and hot water. Rooms are separated by light cane fencing and although they are private, they are not soundproof.
Posada Amazonas also boasts a wellness and holistic centre on-site, perfect for relaxing after a day of activities.

“A comfortable lodge offering brilliant wildlife sightings such as monkeys and giant otters, without having to travel hours into remote jungle!”
