Located around a 45-minute boat ride from the pier at Puerto Maldonado, Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica sits within Tambopata National Reserve, home to a rich ecosystem, tropical plants and beautiful wildlife. This Lodge is located in an enchanting and serene lush setting within 17,000 hectares of natural rainforest. The rainforest acts as a buffer zone between the Tambopata national park and the shores of the vast Madre de Dios river, making the location of this new lodge quite unique and wonderfully remote.
Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica offers more than a dozen excursions into the surrounding jungle. Upon arrival an explorer guide will meet with you to shape an ideal itinerary based on your interests, desired activity levels, weather conditions, and length of stay. Jungle activites on offer include jungle treks, paddle boat trips, rainforest trails, canopy bridges, bird watching and flora study.
There are 4 different categories of rooms at the lodge and each combines classic rainforest Hacienda furniture with modern features to create a comfortable and fresh. Guestrooms offer either 2 twin beds or one king size bed outfitted with luscious Peruvian cotton sheets, hypoallergenic pillows and comforters, cotton bathrobes, bathrooms with hot rain showers, and complementary toiletries. If you are looking for something a little more special, try the Tambopata Suite complete with private plunge pool and outdoor shower.
