Cape Horn & Wulaia Bay - Visit the legendary Cape Horn (Cabo de Hornos) referred to as the ‘End of the Earth’ as it the most Southerly tip of land in the world. (The park was declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2005). In the afternoon, you will go ashore at historic Wulaia Bay, originally the site of one of the region’s largest Yamana aboriginal settlements. This area is also renowned for the mesmerizing beauty of its vegetation and geography.
Pía Glacier & Garibaldi Glacier - Enter the Pia Fjord and get on board the Zodiacs for a shore excursion to the beautiful Pia Glacier. In the afternoon the ship will make its way further west and enter another long fjord to drop anchor near Garibaldi Glacier for another shore excursion. Garibaldi is one of only three glaciers in Patagonia gaining mass rather than staying the same or slowly shrinking. Enjoy a hike through virgin Magellanic forest to a glacial waterfall, a towering wall of ferns and moss, and spectacular viewpoints looking down on the glacier and fjord.
Agostini Sound, Águila Glacier & Cóndor Glacier - Take a look at the glaciers that descend from the middle of the Darwin Mountain Range, some of them reaching the water. You will disembark and go for an easy walk around a lagoon, which was formed by the melting of the Águila Glacier. The aim is to reach a great spot right in front of that glacier with stunning views. In the afternoon, we will approach the Condor Glacier via Zodiac and hopefully see some of the abundant Andean Condors in the area.
Magdalena Island & Punta Arenas - The Magdalena Island used to be an essential source of supplies for navigators and explorers and is inhabited by an immense colony of Magellanic penguins. Take a hike through paths that lead through thousands of penguins to a small museum lodged inside the vintage 1902 lighthouse. After a short cruise disembarkation at Punta Arenas.
