A holiday to the Galapagos is an opportunity to explore one of the most unique and biodiverse places on the planet. Nothing comes close to the experience of seeing the incredible wildlife of the archipelago up close, Galapagos penguins, blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas, giant tortoises and flightless cormorants will be completely unphased by your presence.
At Latin Routes, we specialise in providing our clients with the premium experience in these remote islands. After a long day on excursions to the far corners of the islands, nothing comes to close to the joy of relaxing in the evening sun with a glass of your favourite drink and the taste of the crisp sea air knowing that all of the little details have been taken of. We go above and beyond for our clients so that when you get to the islands, you can unwind and enjoy your holiday of a lifetime. Contact one of our Galapagos specialists to build your luxury holiday from the ground up.
There are two main ways to explore the islands; the first is on a luxury expedition cruise ship we work with 17 luxury ships in the Galapagos and can help you choose the best one for you. Unlike the image of your typical cruise ship, these are much smaller and more intimate. With between 12 passengers - in the case of a Yacht like the Wildaid Passion - and 100 passengers - in the case of the Silver Galapagos, we can guarantee that we can find something that suits your taste. We are also able to provide private yacht charters for your holiday should you require it.
The advantage of a Luxury Cruise in the Galapagos is that you take in the full range of scenery in the islands and will not waste precious time travelling during the day. Instead, you will wake up at your destination ready to explore and have all the full comforts of a luxury ship in the evening.
Our small luxury Galapagos yachts carry between 12 and 20 passengers. They provide an intimate feel and a highly personalised level of service. The larger ships which have capacity for between 50 and 100 passengers are much more stable and are better suited for passengers who have issues with seasickness. A catamaran can make a great balance between the two, as their dual hulls make the ship more stable while retaining the intimate feel of a smaller yacht.
Cruises vary in length between 4 days, 6 days and 8 days. During these itineraries, they will take in up to half of the islands at a time, with the ships alternating between an eastern and a western route each sailing. We can help you choose which voyage takes in the sites you most wish to see. Of course, if you have longer to spend in the Galapagos and would like to see the entire archipelago that can easily be arranged and you can undertake two sailings back to back without even needing to unpack.
The second way to explore the islands is by staying in one of the luxury hotels on the Islands. Should you be less inclined to travel by boat, then you can enjoy the beauty of the islands in a civilised fashion. There is always the possibility of an island hopping holiday where you can stay in several luxury lodges on different islands and broaden the array of wildlife on offer. You may prefer to relax a few days on dry land before and after your cruise before resuming your holiday in Ecuador and South America. The choice is entirely up to you.
