After arriving at Baltra's airport you will be transferred via ferry Santa Cruz Island (10 minute-ride). When in Santa Cruz Island you will be taken to the highlands of Santa Cruz where you will visit the Giant Tortoise Reserve to see them in their natural habitat. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Casa Natura Galapagos lodge where you will be able to check-in and get settled. In the afternoon the activities continue as you will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station to learn more about conservation and research efforts in the Galapagos Islands as well as seeing tortoise hatchlings and breeding programs.
On this day you will be doing a sailing daily tour to North Seymour, Plazas Island, or Santa Fe islands (depending on availability). All these trips include land and marine transportation, bilingual guide as well as on board lunch. In the afternoon, you will be transferred back to Casa Natura lodge.
After enjoying your breakfast at the lodge you will be taken out on a boat to visit Santa Cruz Island's bay. Your starting point will be Puerto Ayora. From there you will be travelling to Loberia which is famous for having a large colony of seals. Here you will be able to snorkel with this beautiful animals as well as also spot the various multi-coloured fish that inhabit here. You will also make a stop at Punta Estrada, Sharks´Channel, Playa de Los Perros, and finally Grietas. The tour takes about 3 hours and a half.
The highlight of this trip obviously is the rich wildlife that you will encounter on the tour - white tip Sharks, sea tortoises, marine iguanas, crabs, pelicans, and some other marine birds.
Afternoon at leisure.
On the departure day you will first enjoy your breakfast at Casa Natura as usual and afterwards, you will be transferred to Baltra's airport to catch your return flight.
