Sail the beautiful Beagle Channel that flows into the Antarctic Ocean. Great views of Ushuaia and the surrounding snow-capped mountains.
Navigate along the Beagle Channel and come close to the extraordinary geography and wildlife of the southernmost waters in the world! Way down at the bottom of the South American continent, the Beagle Channel sees icy water flowing into the Antarctic Ocean.
We board a modern boat to tour the islands and bays surrounding the Beagle Channel. The departure offers beautiful views of Ushuaia and the surrounding snow-capped mountains. We go past Alicia Island to observe a colony of sea lions and we then approach Isla de los Pájaros (Birds Island) where king cormorants and imperial shags may be seen. Finally, we reach Isla de los Lobos (Sea Lions Island) and spot specimens of these mammals, both South American sea lions and South American fur seals.
On our way back, after navigating past the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, guests land on Bridges Island for a short hike where important traces of the primitive Yámana communities that dwelled in these lands can be found.
