Lodge located in the heart of the Ibera Wetlands Nature Reserve

For those looking for Argentina holidays to explore the real natural beauty Argentina has to offer then this is your perfect location. Irupe Lodge is located in the heart of the Ibera Wetlands Nature Reserve, a network of 64 lagoons, marshes and waterways occupying an impressive 1,300,000 hectares of land in Northwest Argentina.

This natural paradise is home to numerous protected species such as yacaré crocodiles, capybara, marsh deer, carayá monkeys, foxes and hares, to name a few. It is also a haven for birdlife, with over 350 species, and thousands of multi-coloured butterflies.

Irupé Lodge sits facing a lovely park and lake, immersed amongst the wildlife. From the main house a 20 metre wooden bridge connects it to the lake and it is often home to playing capybara families. The jetty is also the starting point for boat safaris which the lodge runs both during the day and night to explore the surrounding area and spot wildlife.

Other activites organised by the lodge include walks, bird spotting excursions and visits to local attractions. All activities are acompanied by an experienced member of the Irupe Lodge team who gives a fascinting insight to the ecosystem, as well as being very experienced in getting to the right place to spot the best wildlife.

The main house offers 8 rustic-chic guestrooms and a family suite, all spacious and enjoying beautiful views of the Ibera Lake. There is also an attractive swimming pool area which makes for a great spot to relax after a safari or just soak up the natural surroundings whilst on your holiday in Argentina. There is an attractive open air restaurant at Irupe Lodge which offers delicious local cuisine to the backdrop of the marshlands. There is the option to stay at Irupe Lodge on a Bed & Breakfast or alternatively enjoy this hotel in the Ibera wetlands on a Full Board basis with a programme of activities included.
