Estancia dating from 1895 Located in a Beautiful Setting, Deep in the Argentine Countryside

Estancia La Constancia is a special place to stay for a few peaceful days deep in the Argentine Countryside. The Estancia is set in 1500 hectares of land, hidden among the mountains at 1,400 metres above sea level. The homestead dates back to 1895 and has been totally restored after having been abandoned for 40 years. The restoration was done while maintaining a scrupulous respect for its history and as a result today the Estancia offers modern living while retaining its original spirit.

In the gardens, plants and trees grow in almost wild abundance, next to dense groves of lavender, dill, hazel, chestnut, walnut and safflower. The San Javier Brook runs beside the house, which extends for several kilometres rising from the natural spring in and forms various waterfalls and pools along its route, ideal for bathing. The view along the valley is fantastic on the right day you can catch a beautiful sunsets against the backdrop of the high Sierras.

A stay at this Estancia includes breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Under the direction and careful supervision of Chef Luis Dorado, a graduate of the Argentine Institute of Gastronomy, home gourmet style food is prepared with the best products that each season has to offer, together with home grown fresh herbs. Of course no Argentine menu would be complete without the traditional Asado (Argentine Barbeque) consisting of lamb, suckling pig, and special cuts of beef, either barbecued in the traditional fashion, or grilled on a griddle, with grilled vegetables and a wide choice of salads.

Activities are included in your stay at Estancia La Constancia including trekking, horse riding, fly fishing and mountain biking. Alternatively you may just decide to relax in the beautiful surroundings!
