The Island Sky will be joining its sister ship the Hebridean Sky in Antarctica in December 2018.
The Island Sky was built in the same Italian Shipyard as its sister and that’s not the only thing they share. The Island Sky enjoys spacious, well-appointed suites, stylish common areas and state of the art ‘redundant-core technology’ that allows the ship to operate smoothly, even in the most challenging of conditions.
The island sky combines the best guides, naturalists, and expedition crew members; with the comfort and luxury of a boutique hotel.
The island sky accommodates 108 passengers, all of whom can enjoy world class cuisine and comfort as they cruise in Antarctica. All suites enjoy exterior views, the bathrooms are marble-appointed and have the choice of a queen-sized or two twin-sized beds.
The island Sky along with the Hebridean sky are unique in their Citizen Science initiatives where guests can undertake valuable Antarctic fieldwork with scientists across 5 major disciplines including Oceanography, Glaciology, Ornithology, Marine Biology, and Meteorology.
“The Island Sky is an elegant, luxury expedition ship, her spacious cabins will make for a comfortable voyage”
