The Amazon Star is the shining star of the Peruvian Amazon. Her 8-day cruise itinerary was recognised by National Geographic as one of the 25 greatest adventures in the world; it covers 600 miles of Peru's pristine rainforest and gets you as close as possible to the vegetation, wildlife and marine life.
With nearly 40 years experience in Amazon river cruising the Amazon Star's owners were one of the pioneers in Peruvian tourism. In 2013 took all of that experience and created this beautiful boat.
The ship is spacious and accommodates a total of 31 guests. The facilities include a bar, restaurant, lecture room and observation deck. The cabins all have air conditioning, large windows and private balconies for you to relax and take in the natural world.
The Amazon star is a great choice for families looking to experience the river, as it offers a selection of interconnected cabins and suites. The minimum age for guests is 7. Guests under the age of 18 sharing a cabin with another under 18 will receive a discount of 10% on the cruise.
Active passengers will benefit from the complimentary Kayaks and paddle boards, which they can take out on excursions. The guides are all bilingual locals who are fluent in English and experts in the nature of the Amazon rainforest.
Some of the incredible highlights on offer include bird watching, swimming with pink amazon river dolphins and meeting the local communities. The interactions with the indigenous people will introduce you to their unique way of life, their cultural practices and their perspective of the world. A cruise aboard the Amazon star will be a memory to last a lifetime.
